A comprehensive evaluation examines the individual's academic performance and relevant cognitive and developmental information to determine whether the pattern is consistent with Specific Learning Disorder.
Is Specific Learning Disorder the same thing as a learning disability?
The terms are often used interchangeably in everyday conversation.
Specific Learning Disorder is the diagnostic terminology used in the DSM-5-TR. Learning disability is a commonly used educational and general-language term.

Does an evaluation determine whether someone has a Specific Learning Disorder?
A comprehensive evaluation can provide the information necessary to determine whether an individual's pattern of academic difficulties is consistent with Specific Learning Disorder and, when appropriate, identify the affected academic domain or domains.
How long does an evaluation take?
The amount of time required depends on the type of evaluation and the individual's circumstances. Scheduling information will be discussed before the evaluation.
What records should I provide?
If available, relevant records may include:

Can my report be shared with another professional?
